"Are we not like two volumes of one book? " -Marceline Desbordes-Valmore

Guy and I have been married for one year today (and together for 5 years and 4 months). We spent it preparing for Harper's arrival. We got breakfast at a local coffee shop and planned our day, did our big pre-baby shopping trip where we stocked up on shampoo, apple juice and other necessities, picked up some nursery furniture from Ikea (our go to furniture stop) and went to our favorite restaurant , The Parkhouse Eatery, where were consequently had our rehearsal dinner one year and one day ago. After dinner we walked around downtown, took pictures in front of the Gaslamp District sign for nostalgia purposes, shared a sundae at Ghiradelli's and now Guy is playing video games, the dogs are eating dinner and I am about to head to bed but not before I post my all time favorite pictures from the wedding. These are what I like to call the money shots.

And to my husband on this day, I love you, to the moon and back. I hope you never forget how much I loved you the day I married you and how every day since I find myself more in love with you. I would not change a single thing about the past year. I look forward to many more adventures together and cannot wait to see just how amazing you are as a father. Thank you for being awesome and loving me when I am being sort of not awesome. PS: Pound it, homeskillet.

  4. Happy anniversary! These pics are great. As are your shoes.

If I'm not too late for the quote above the crib vote, I'd like to vote Peter Pan. I was at a book fair yesterday and happened upon an amazing Peter Pan first edition (that was way more expensive than I could afford...) and thought of you. Or, maybe there's a To Kill a Mockingbird quote? There might be something cool about the fact that it was written by Harper Lee. (I'm new to the blog so please excuse me if I'm repeating what others have said!)
